Opal Marie Armbruster
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held for Ms. Opal Marie Armbruster, 74, of Olivette,
Missouri at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in
Clarksville.
The Fr. Lou Dorn will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept.
1 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Ms.
Armbruster passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at the Delmar Gardens of Mermac
Valley Nursing Home in Fenton.
She was born Feb. 18, 1934 in Elsberry to Jacob Howard Armbruster and Mary Ann Vahey
Armbruster.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Suddarth, of Louisiana; Mrs. Erma Ruhmann,
of St. Charles; and Mrs. Dorothy Penrod, of Louisiana. A sister-in-law, Peg Armbruster, of
Elsberry; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She had been employed by William Sheppard, Sr., in Louisiana for several years. She
later moved to St. Louis, where she was employed in various accounting positions until her
retirement in 2000.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Louisiana.
She was an avid reader and loved her family.
