Francis (Frank) Magruder
Funeral services for Francis Lee “Frank” Magruder, 56, of Whiteside, were held at 11 a.m.
Saturday at Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Pat Glenn  officiated. Burial was
at Mill Creek Cemetery near Silex.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Magruder died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 at the Maple Grove Lodge Nursing Home in
Louisiana.
He was born Aug. 17, 1952 in Louisiana to Robert and Mary Graves Magruder.
He married Johna Branstetter April 2, 1983 and to this union was born three sons, Lee
Magruder of Whiteside, Josh Magruder and Travis Magruder, both of Eolia and one
daughter, Amber Kuntz of Louisiana.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Scott Kuntz, Kaitlyn Kuntz and Tylee Wood,
two sisters, Elaine Sanderson and husband, Steve of Olney and Janice Baze and
husband, Steve of St. Louis; a twin brother, Bobby Magruder and wife, Leann of Eolia;
Four nephews, Trevor Magruder, Stevie Baze, Jason Baze and Todd Sanderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Magruder and a
niece, Amber Sayword Magruder.
Frank had owned and operated the “Magruder Appliance Service” in Webster Groves,
Missouri for over 23 years.
He will always be remembered as a good fellow who was always willing to help anyone. He
always had a new joke to tell when you talked to him.
Honorary pallbearers were Trevor Magruder, Stevie Baze, Jason Baze, Todd Sanderson,
Scott Kuntz, Kaitlyn Kuntz and Tylee Wood. Active pallbearers were Phil Caldwell, Jack
Graves, Randy Graves, Bob Lawder, Gary Cannon and Larry Evans.
Memorials may be given to the grandchildren’s educational fund or to the Whiteside
