Anna Mae Grote
Anna Mae Grote, 82, of Bowling Green died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at St. Luke’s
Hospital in Chesterfield.  
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr.
Wayne Boyer officiating.  Burial was in St. Clement Cemetery.  
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling
Green.
She was born Aug. 28, 1925 in Bowling Green, the daughter of Herman Henry and Clara
Helen Niehaus Grote. Ms. Grote lived all of her life in the Bowling Green and St. Clement
area.  
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  
Preceding her in death were four brothers, Alphonse Grote, Virgil Grote, Ernest Grote and
Harry Grote in infancy and two sisters, Adeline Tophinke and Frances Eckelkamp.
She had worked as a seamstress at several garment factories in the area and was a
member of St. Clement Catholic Church.  Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting,
bowling, camping, fishing and painting.  She also loved Cardinal baseball games.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary Grote, Ronnie Grote, Danny Grote, Randy Grote, Rob
Johnson, Jimmy Johnson Jr., Kevin Stumbaugh and Ryan Stumbaugh.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
