Danny P. Smith
Graveside services for Danny Pearl Smith, 64, of Louisiana will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday
(today) at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana. Dr. Leonard Dice will officiate.
No visitation was held.
Mr. Smith died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Fay Smith, of the home; two sons, Kenny Smith and
wife, Kim of Knob Noster and Danny Smith and wife, Amanda of Louisiana; two daughters,
Deanna Green and husband, Robert of Knob Noster and Kathy Price and husband, Billy
of Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Maria and husband, Mark, Junior Smith, Tiffany Smith,
Mia Smith, Cody Smith, Kyle Green, Reanna Green, Kaitlyn Price and Cameron Price;
three step-grandchildren, Timothy Kressin, Sydney Thomas and Halley Payne; two
brothers, Larry Smith and wife, Irene and Darrell Smith and wife, Bonnie, all of Louisiana;
four sisters, Virginia Johnson, Wellsville, Bonnie Gates, Azle, Texas, Millie Gish, Mexico
and Helen Shipley, Vandalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Gipson.
Danny had been employed at Hercules Chemical Co., in Louisiana and had worked for 31
years with perfect attendance retiring in October 2006.
He was an avid duck, deer and turkey hunter and fisherman. He was the kind of man who
was always there if you needed help. Although he went to heaven he will be greatly
missed by all who loved him.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Scoggins and Bob Rue. Active pallbearers will be
Danny Smith, Cody Smith, Junior Smith, Kyle Green, Timothy Kressin and Brad Stoops.
