Charles McDonald
Charles McDonald, 70, of Whiteside died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at the Pike County
Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Graveside services were held 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in
Millwood.
He was born April 11, 1938 in Silex, the son of Charles Lee and Anna Belle Meuth
McDonald. He married Delois Howdeshell on April 8, 1961 in Millwood. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Edith Johnson and husband, Carl of Bowling Green;
three grandchildren, Charles Johnson, Samuel Johnson and Timothy Johnson, all of
Bowling Green; one sister, Christine Hollingsworth of Louisiana; one niece, Anna
Schlueter and children, R. J., Ashley and Briana; one nephew, Johnny Hollingsworth and
wife, Stephanie and daughter, Natalee, all of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas McDonald.
Mr. McDonald was a life-long resident of Pike and Lincoln Counties. He farmed most all of
his life and enjoyed cutting wood. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
The Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Silex was in charge of the arrangements.
