Betty McKinnon
Betty Lee McKinnon, 79, of Pleasant Hill died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 at Pike County
Memorial Hospital in Louisiana.
Funeral services were Tuesday (today) at 11 a.m., at the Calvary Gospel Church in
Summer Hill, Ill., with Bro. Don Hannel officiating. Burial was at Crescent Heights Cemetery
in Pleasant Hill.
Visitation was Monday from 5-7 p.m., at the Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill and one
hour prior to the services at Calvary Gospel Church.
She was born Feb. 2, 1929 in Mozier, Ill., the daughter of Leo Lawrence and Henrietta
Webb Dwyer. She married Donald McKinnon Oct. 16, 1947 in Hardin, Ill. He survives.
Survivors include her husband, who resides at Barry Community Care Center in Barry, Ill.;
four children, Jimmy Dale McKinnon and wife, Sandy of Clarksville, Lanny Dale McKinnon
and wife, Mary Jo of Louisiana, Patricia Sue Bolton and husband, Allan and Terry Lee
McKinnon and wife, Cindy of Pleasant Hill; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Bonnie Tolbert and husband, Jesse of Hamburg, Ill., and Evelyn Pearson and
husband, John of Godfrey, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty Lee was a homemaker and farm wife and she truly enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Gospel Church in Summer Hill.
