Football teams from the “West” All-Stars and the “East” All-Stars line up before the KHQA
“Do or Die Bowl” held in Quincy, Ill. Several local athletes took part in the event for the
West team including Cody McCann (Bowling Green, linebacker/full back - #45), Jared
Akright (Bowling Green, offensive guard - #53), D.J. Hutchings (Bowling Green, defensive
end - #82), P.J. Shepard (Louisiana, running back - #33), Ryan Hesse (Van-Far,
linebacker/safety - #14). The West All-Stars emerged victorious, 20-12. This was the
fourth year for the Do or Die Bowl. Clark County’s Matt Smith coached the West team.
